Greece Branch Manager

Lietta Ioannou is a senior at Athens College high school in Athens, Greece. Her favorite subjects include philosophy, history and social anthropology and she is very interested in art history. She loves giving back to the community and has volunteered at several charity institutions, and spent the summer teaching kick boxing to refugee children.  In her free time she enjoys dancing, travelling and listening to music. 

Taiwan Branch Manager

Vivian Chang is a senior at The King’s Academy in Sunnyvale, CA, with an interest in business and languages. Her interest in languages was piqued by the diverse people she met while studying abroad. After the outbreak of COVID-19, Vivian traveled back to Hsinchu, Taiwan, where she started the Quarantutors Taiwan branch. Vivian is also actively involved in Model UN and Woodblock Press, an online student publication.

Manager of Tutoring Resources

  Annie Specker is a junior at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, CA. She has a variety of interests but especially biology and English. This year, Annie worked as an assistant for her honors biology teacher, who has given her amazing opportunities to explore her interest in biology. Outside of school, Annie teaches dance to younger students and is the co-captain of the LAHS dance team. She also does community service through the National Charity League.  

Publicity Manager

Yelim Kim is a student at Urbana University High School (Uni) in Urbana, IL. Her favorite subjects are math, physics, and Latin. Her hobbies are baking and music. She has been playing cello for four years and participates in multiple orchestral activities. She also likes listening to music and has composed music for a Sherlock Holmes play at her school. Yelim enjoys running and discussing social issues with her friends.

Publicity Manager

Kavya Ramamurthy is a junior at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, CA, with an interest in chemistry and biology. Kavya spends her time doing chemistry research at a Stanford neuroscience lab and at Valentia Analytical, volunteering at the VA hospital, and helping her community through art and working with kids. Outside of academics, she enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and painting.

Communications Manager

Stephanie Mo is a rising sophomore at Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, MD. Her favorite subjects are math and English. She enjoys playing the violin and has been playing for almost ten years and has volunteered to play at senior centers and also has participated in youth orchestras. She is part of the Girls for Business nonprofit serving as a mentorship coordinator. Along with that, she enjoys tutoring and teaching kids and spending time with her friends! 

Communications Manager

Silvie Reitz is a junior at Eastview High School in Minnesota. Her favorite subjects in school are English and History. She is a member of her school's Speech and Debate teams, and her school's chapter of National Honor Society. Outside of school, Silvie enjoys working with kids; she often volunteers at summer camps for elementary school children at a local nature center. She also loves hanging out with friends, singing, and practicing flute and piano.

Will is a sophomore at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco, California who loves biking, cooking, and spending time with friends. At school, Will is part of the cross country and badminton teams and is also a leader of two clubs. As a violinist, Will loves spreading his passion for music with others through performance. He hopes to pursue a career in finance or music in the future.

Angela Zhu is a 11 grade student from West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In her spare time, she loves to play soccer and play music for the elderly at care homes. Angela is also an outstanding student with multiple academic and musical recognitions. During such a desperate time, Angela hopes to have a positive impact on society by offering online tutoring to those in need. 

Adithi Ganesan is a junior at Liberal Arts and Science Academy in Austin, TX, with an aspiration of becoming a biotechnology engineer. Adithi has received a gold medal in the national Spanish exam, participates in science fairs, and loves to do research. She is also currently part of an initiative to reach out to seniors experiencing loneliness and provide them encouragement during this quarantine. Adithi loves to play violin, sing and play tennis in her free time. 

Achilleas Frangos is a capable and passionate student. Having an almost perfect GPA of 3.9 and excelling in most aspects of Academic Knowledge, including Language, Science, and Social Sciences. In addition, he has many extracurricular interests such as public speaking and MUN.  He loves teaching and being a positive influence on the education and the development of students either younger or his age.

Sofía Martínez is currently a Junior at Deerfield High School in Illinois. She has a variety of interests, but mainly focuses on Mathematics and English. Sofía has maintained a high honor roll throughout high school and also has had tutoring experience within an Academic Resource Center. Outside of school, she’s very passionate about an organization she is a part of where she mentors children with special needs.

Data Analytics Manager

Angela is currently a junior and is a member of math national honor society and science national honor society. She likes to push people to succeed and is very determined. Some subjects she excels in are AP Calculus BC, AP Lang, A.P Statistics, biology, and AP U.S. History. Outside of school, she likes to learn about animals, teach her dog new tricks, run, work as an accessioner entering data for COVID patients, and volunteer at animal shelters.

Financial Advisor 

 A 20 year veteran of Comerica Bank's Commercial Banking Group, Nguyen is a Senior Vice President and Group Manager of the San Jose Middle Market Banking Team, responsible for managing and expanding an $800M+ portfolio of privately owned middle market businesses with revenues ranging from $30 million to $500 million in diverse industries, including food & beverage, contract manufacturing, building materials and value-added services. Nguyen is an experienced and dedicated professional with a proven track record in building deep and enduring relationships. 

She is a founding member, Treasurer, and past President of the Vietnamese American Professional Women Association of Silicon Valley, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring Vietnamese-American High School students and awarding scholarships to prepare graduating seniors in their pursuit of higher education.

Aiden Danzig is a rising senior at The Paideia School in Atlanta, GA, with a love for sports. Combining his passion for basketball and helping his community, he successfully negotiated an agreement with a local elementary school to form a basketball program taught by high schoolers, which he currently supervises. In his free time, he enjoys writing for his school newspaper, spending time with family, and playing piano

Samantha de la Vega is a junior at Commack High School in Commack, NY. Samantha is enthusiastic, friendly, personable and a very hard working student who has a passion for helping others and spreading her love of learning. In her free time Samantha is apart of her school's varsity kickline team, loves dancing at her dance studio, and is in her schools peer leadership club, Spanish honor society, English honor society, American Sign Language honor society, and History honor society. She also has always enjoyed traveling, baking, and shopping. Samantha is excited to be able to help younger students succeed while learning at home.

Khalid Dfa Alla is a junior at the American International School in Abu Dhabi (AISA). Khalid is Sudanese and has lived his whole life in the United Arab Emirates. Khalid enjoys several subjects, specifically math and different fields of science, and he is studying to pursue a career in medicine. Aside from that, Khalid enjoys watching movies and series on Netflix, playing basketball, and swimming.

Brian Dinh is a rising senior at Milpitas High School in Milpitas, CA, who likes economics and data analytics. Brian's favorite subjects are math and science. Brian is particularly interested in economics and spends his time investing in the stock market and teaches financial literacy. Carol Li is a senior at Stanford Online High School and Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, CA, who loves everything math or science-related. With a particular interest in computer science, Carol enjoys working on various projects like spellcheckers and auto fillers and is currently exploring iOS development. Beyond that, she adores aesthetic stationery, binging TV shows, and hoarding Girl Scout cookies.

Eesha Palasamudrum is a rising senior at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, CA, with an interest in engineering. Eesha leads science programs for elementary schoolers through her Women in STEM club, is involved in robotics, coaches the Debate League at Egan Junior High, and competes in Speech and Debate. Outside of academics, she teaches at a local dance studio, captains the LAHS dance team, and is president of the LAHS Planned Acts of Kindness club.

Isabella Ji is a rising senior at Communications High School in Wall Township, NJ, who aspires to have a career in advertising and marketing. She is president of her school's Student Government Association, managing editor of her school newspaper, NHS Treasurer, and web editor for her school's fashion magazine. Isabella loves to travel and work in community service. In her free time, she can be found painting, volunteering at animal shelters, playing field hockey, or hanging out with her friends.

Rachel Rudyak is a junior at Los Altos High School with a passion for biology, English, and journalism. Rachel teaches interactive STEAM lessons for elementary school students through Steam Team and is the co-president of LAHS MakeX, a club dedicated to introducing high school students to the maker movement. She is an Impact Year Leader for the JFCS organization and plans community service events to involve teenagers in giving back. In her free time, she writes articles for her school’s student newspaper, hikes, paints, and loves to try new baking recipes.

Esther Sun is a senior at Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, CA. As a writer, Esther is interested in the intersections of history, classical music, Asian-American identity, and human rights in literature. Outside of reading and writing, she likes learning fingerpicking patterns on the guitar, visiting SF on weekends, and hiking with her dad. She will attend Columbia University starting in the fall of 2021.

She is an aspiring teen entrepreneur, advocate for world kindness, and has interests revolving around music, photography, the culinary arts, as well as crafting and hand-lettering. Having been an active tutor for over 5 years, she always seeks opportunities to lead, inspire creativity, and share her passions with those who could benefit from it.
