Session Two (July 12th - August 6th)
In this course, you will begin to learn about the exciting subject of Biology, the study of Life!! You will learn about interesting topics like DNA, Mitosis, and parts of the cell! Each lecture will be filled with visuals and have constant opportunities for student interaction!! Additionally, after each lecture, there will be a fun activity to follow up and deepen your learning (i.e. Kahoot, GimKit, Quizlet Live). Optional homework will be assigned for those who want to apply these concepts to the real world. Be prepared to have fun and learn about Biology!
2 p.m. PST on Mondays and Wednesdays, 40 minute classes
Instructor for Biology
I have taken Biology Honors my freshman year of high school and both Chemistry Honors and AP Biology my Sophomore year. I have studied for and taken the USABO(United States of America Biology Olympiad) to expand my knowledge and love for Biology. My teaching experience is that II have been a Counselor-In-Training at a mathletes summer camp for the past three years, helping younger kids learn math and deepen their love for math. For my experience leadership experience, I have taken the leadership class in my middle school for three semesters; I am the PR Chair for Key Club at my high school, I am also Treasurer for the Medical Careers Clubs and Indian Student Union. Finally, I am part of a highly selective club called Ambassadors at my high school, which are leaders worldwide that strive towards improving mental health and campus community.
